Kilimanjaro father is Bordeaux (by United), who was successful at Grand Prix level. He has already produced several NMK mares and high scoring IBOP daughters and Kilimanjaro is his fourth son who is approved at the KWPN. Kilimanjaros dam Darabel is an Elite Preferent mare, is a daughter of the licenced stallion Westpoint, the Grand Prix stallion and Gold Medalist at the World Dressage Horse Championships. Darabel passed the IBOP with 80 points, and is now also competing at Grand Prix level. In 2015 she was also the Champion at the NMK with the keur and elite mares.

Breeding advice given from the KWPN for Kilimanjaro is he can improve the model and add light footing, flexibility, bearing capacity, rideability and attitude to dressage horse breeding.
